Guaranteed QoS and Path-Controlled L2 Network Creation Using EROs in FABRIC ( public )

This artifact provides a Jupyter notebook that demonstrates how to create a wide-area Layer 2 (L2) network in the FABRIC testbed with:

  • Guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) through bandwidth reservations across inter-site links.
  • Explicit Route Objects (EROs) to control the exact path taken by the network, enabling reproducible and deterministic behavior.
  • Validation of bandwidth availability and interface capabilities along the chosen route before slice submission.

This example is intended for FABRIC users who require predictable performance and tight control over the routing of their wide-area networks — useful for applications like real-time data transfer, closed-loop control, and repeatable benchmarking experiments.
